A Solo about aging with a dancer and a rolling walker.

We are living in a society where youth is most important and aging or winkles are answered with
plastic surgeries and fitness training.

Normally we know rolling walkers as devices for old and handicapped people. This dance solo
transforms the rolling walker into a dance partner and want to show in a playful way that also
older dancers and performers should not be
left on the shelf. The rolling walker gets a new role to
be a dance instrument and dance platform that enables certain movements and images.

And equally as our perspective changes on the device through the dance solo, hopefully it will
also convert our view on the aging of our body. Of course the movement possibilities will transform
through the years but that must not be a disadvantage. Rather we can and should exploit and
increase this new potential as much as it is possible for us.
